About League Simple
League Simple is a youth sports league management application that helps parents, coaches, and league administrators organize leagues, teams, schedules, and rosters. This privacy policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information.
Information We Collect
Adult Account Information
When you create an account, we collect:
- Email address
- First name and last name
- Phone number (optional)
- Password (stored in encrypted form)
Children's Information
Parents and guardians may enter information about their children to manage team rosters:
- Child's first name and last name
- Date of birth
Device Information
To deliver push notifications about team events and messages, we collect Apple Push Notification Service (APNS) device tokens. These tokens are used solely for delivering notifications and are not used for tracking or advertising.
User-Generated Content
We store messages you send to team members through the app. Event venue addresses are stored as text to help coordinate team activities.
Children's Privacy (COPPA Compliance)
League Simple does not collect information directly from children under 13. All children's information is entered and managed by their parent or legal guardian. Parents can view, edit, and delete their children's data at any time through the app. We do not require children to disclose more information than is reasonably necessary to participate in team activities.
How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
- Provide and maintain the League Simple service
- Send push notifications about team events, schedule changes, and messages
- Enable communication between team members
- Manage team rosters and schedules
Cookies and Session Data
We use session cookies solely for authentication purposes. These cookies expire after 14 days of inactivity. We do not use advertising cookies, tracking cookies, or any form of cross-site tracking.
Third-Party Services
We do not share your personal data with third parties for marketing or advertising purposes. The only third-party service we use is Apple Push Notification Service (APNS) to deliver notifications to iOS devices.
We do not use:
- Analytics or tracking services
- Advertising networks
- Payment processors (the app is free)
- Social media integrations
Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored on servers hosted by Fly.io in the United States. We protect your information using:
- Password encryption using bcrypt with 12 rounds of hashing
- HTTPS/TLS encryption for all data in transit
- Secure server infrastructure
Data Retention and Deletion
Your account data is retained until you choose to delete your account. When you delete your account:
- All personal information is permanently removed
- All associated children's profiles are deleted
- Device tokens are removed
- This action cannot be undone
You can delete your account at any time from within the app settings.
Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access and view your personal data
- Update or correct your information
- Delete your account and all associated data
- Opt out of push notifications
Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new policy on this page and updating the effective date.
